Aruna Quadri has dropped to 20 in ITTF ranking.

    According to the decision taken by the Executive committee of the international Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), to release the world ranking for April 2020. Due to the passive activities of Aruna Quadri in march, made him drop in his ranking.

Quadri was unable to qualify to the Africa Olympic qualifying Tournament which was held in Tunis for Tokyo 2020. This was due to the thigh injury he sustained on February 28. He has been out of action since then; these has led to his withdrawal from last month's Quatar, open before the world table tennis governing body decided to suspend all its activities because of the pandemic.

Irrespective that he is rated the best African player in the world,  the 2019 Nigeria open champion slide to 20. Just like Quadri, the 2019 African games champion Olajide Omotayo also dropped in the world ranking. He is yet to return to his base in Belgium from Italy because of the lockdown: his now ranked 92nd in the world. The Egyptian Omar Assar, still maintain his second place in Africa but the 2019 African top 16 cup champion dropped to 38 from 35. The Senegalese Ibrahim Diaw returns to third place in Africa as the Senegal player who had secured his spot at Tokyo 2020, is among the biggest moves in the world after rising to 69 in the world, which stand out to be his highest and best of his career.

      In the women's rating, the Egyptian Dina Meshref maintains her position as the African champion and still maintain her 32nd position in the world. Offiong Eden remains the highest ranked Nigeria female player in the world.

In the world of men's ranking, it is the Chinese Fan Zhendong who replaced his compatriot Xu Xin to top the rating. As the China's Chen Meng continues her reign as the women's world number one.
